The U.S. Cluster Mapping project is led by Harvard Business School’s Institute for Strategy & Competitiveness to promote Industry Clusters.  The project leverages the academic research developed by HBS Professor Michael Porter; and the initiative was launched in partnership with the U.S. Economic Development Administration (a bureau in the U.S. Department of Commerce).
Industry Building Blocks, a Southern Tier company and the 1st to define the global economy at the granular (Michael Porter five forces) industry level, provides industry and industry cluster data for over 12,000 global companies,  as well as 3,000 local Southern Tier companies to support ST8 (STC, STW and STREDC) industry clusters.
