The U.S. Economic Development Administration (a bureau in the U.S. Department of Commerce) promotes innovation and competitiveness and has partnered with Harvard Business School’s Institute for Strategy & Competitiveness to promote Industry Cluster Mapping, leveraging the academic research developed by HBS Professor Michael Porter.
Industry Building Blocks, a Southern Tier company and the 1st to define the global economy at the granular (Michael Porter five forces) industry level, provides industry and industry cluster data for over 12,000 global companies,  as well as 3,000 local Southern Tier companies to support ST8 (STC, STW and STREDC) industry clusters.
